We are still in talks on 2016 Budget, says FG

The Nigeria Federal Government on Wednesday said the Executive arm of government was still in talks with the Legislature on the 2016 Budget.

Sen. Udo Udoma: No decision yet on 2016 budget

Senator Udo Udoma, Minister of Budget and National Planning, said this while addressing State House correspondents on the outcome of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“On 2016 budget, we are still talking,” the minister simply said when asked of the state of the budget which has so far pitted the two arms of government against each other.

Udoma also said the FEC approved a calendar for the 2017 Budget with a view to ensuring that the document gets to the National Assembly before the end of the year.
