Premier League: Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 Stoke City | Stoke fire drowned under Tottenham heavy pour

A glut of second-half goals from Tottenham Hotspur ensured Mauricio Pochettino’s side notched their second successive 4-0 victory over Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.

Son Heung-min opened the scoring in the 41st minute before doubling the lead 11 minutes after the break, stroking home superbly from the edge of the area to give Christian Eriksen his second assist of the match after the Dane had signed a new long-term contract with the club earlier this week.

Dele Alli added a third before the hour-mark with his first goal of the season, turning in  Kyle Walker’s cut-back, while Harry Kane rounded off the scoring in the 70th minute with the 50th Premier League goal of his career.

Debutant Wilfred Bony was unable to make an instant impact for the Potters having scored in both of his previous PL starts against Spurs, as Shay Given endured a tough afternoon on his 450th appearance in the Premier League.
