Premier League: AFC Bournemouth 1-0 WBA | Callum finds Bournemouth first season win

Callum Wilson’s goal 11 minutes from time earned AFC Bournemouth their first victory of the Premier League season at the expense of West Bromwich Albion.

The Cherries enjoyed the lion’s share of possession at Vitality Stadium but found themselves up against a Tony Pulis defense in resilient form, as Ben Foster and his rearguard continuously kept the hosts at bay.

Jordon Ibe proved a tricky customer on the right flank but the deadlock remained unbroken until the 79th minute, when Wilson made amends for squandering a golden opportunity from six yards earlier in the match.

After a barrage of attacking pressure, Wilson met an Adam Smith cross to expertly back-flick a neat finish into the far corner of the West Brom goal, 16 minutes after loan signing Jack Wilshere had come off the bench to make a winning AFC Bournemouth debut.
