A Pokemon Go player has talked of her ‘shock’ at stumbling upon a dead body while searching for Pokemon near a river in Wyoming.
Shayla Wiggins, 19, said she came across the body of a man while playing the game near the Big Wind River.
The Fremont County Sherriff’s Office has said the man’s death appears to be accidental and possibly the result of drowning, with an investigation ongoing.
The new game for Android and iOS was launched earlier this week and tasks players with visiting locations to capture Pokemon.
Shayla told County 10 she was trying to get a Pokemon from a natural water resource.
‘I was walking towards the bridge along the shore when I saw something in the water,’ she said.
‘I had to take a second look and I realized it was a body.
‘It was pretty shocking. I didn’t really know what to do at first. But I called 911 right away and they came really quickly.’
