The Nigerian football fraternity were dealt another blow as former national team coach Shuaibu Amodu passed away just three days after Stephen Keshi’s death left the nation in profound shock.
According to the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), The 58-year-old Amodu had complained of chest pains on Friday night and passed away in his sleep.
Amodu was a stalwart in the football fraternity in his country as he coached the Super Eagles on four different occasions and was the current Technical Director of the NFF.
Amodu also had a spell in charge of South Africa club giants Orlando Pirates, guiding the Buccaneers in the 1997/1998 Premier Soccer League season.
The death of Amodu comes after Keshi suddenly died on Tuesday after he was suspected to have suffered a heart-attack.
