Nigeria Football Federation Confirms Osimhen For Flying Eagles Attack Against Burundi

The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that Victor Osimhen will spearhead the Flying Eagles attack versus Burundi, amid rumours in the local media that he could miss the game next Saturday due to an injury.

The ex-Golden Eaglets sensation pulled his shoulder after a collision with Dream Team VI defender Segun Oduduwa during the second half of Thursday’s friendly between the Flying Eagles and Olympic Team and subbed out immediately after the incident.

“He fell awkwardly after the collision with the Under-23 defender but it is nothing serious as you can see,” Dr Salami was quoted as saying by the official webpage of the Nigerian Federation,

The same source added that Osimhen has scored in all but one of the Nigeria U20s friendly games since the start of the get-together in Abuja.

The 17-year-old jogged with the team before the start of training on Friday afternoon.
