Mischievous Pre-Teen Fakes Her Period, Then Mom Gets Amazing Revenge

Many pre-teen girls suffer from “period envy” when their girlfriends all start getting their periods, and they’re the last one. In the hilarious commercial below, a tween named Katie becomes so jealous that she hasn’t gotten her monthly visitor yet that she decides to take the easy way out — by faking it.

Katie uses glittery red nail polish to make it look as though she’s had her period, then cleverly places the sanitary napkin in the trashcan. Of course, her mother finds it right away, and knows exactly what’s going on. But when she asks Katie about it, she’s met with major attitude. “What do you think it is?” Katie replies.

Lying to mom about entering womanhood is one thing, but taking ‘tude? Not gonna fly. So, in an effort to get revenge on her sneaky daughter, this hilarious mom takes things to the next level by throwing Katie a fake “First Moon Party.”

Katie is horrified when her entire family shows up to celebrate, and the day is made complete with menstrual-themed party games a “vagician.”

The ad comes to us from Hello Flo, a company that ships period-starter kits and feminine products inside discreet packaging.

This definitely is one of the funniest and most inventive ads ever created, and the internet agrees. That’s why it has over 37 million YouTube views… and what woman can’t relate?!
