Kelechi Iheanacho is highest paid Nigerian in Premier League

Following his new contract extension for Manchester City, forward Kelechi Iheanacho has become the highest paid Nigerian in the Premier League.

Iheanacho recently signed a new two-year contract extension which will keep him at City until 2011.

According to African Football, his new contract guarantees him a weekly wage of £85,000 which is the highest for any Nigerian player.

This new wage takes him above Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi who earns £75,000 weekly at Stamford Bridge.
