Four children reportedly aged between three and 11 years old have been rushed to hospital following a serious assault at their home, police said.
The children were found inside a property in Blainroe, Ireland, reportedly with injuries that suggested they had been choked.
A man in his mid-thirties has been arrested and two of the children have been airlifted to Tallaght Hospital in Dublin. The other two children were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
According to reports the victims were two boys and two girls.
The man arrested has yet to be named and is at Wicklow garda station.
‘Gardaí have arrested a man, mid 30’s, in connection with an investigation into the serious assault of four children that occurred at Blainroe, County Wicklow yesterday, Friday 3rd June 2016 shortly after 7.30pm,’ said a garda spokesman.
