Footage surfaces of Orlando gunman ‘meeting gay lover in hotel’

Footage of Orlando gunman Omar Mateen hooking up with at least one man in a hotel has allegedly been discovered.

Sources at the Ambassador Hotel told TMZ that there is surveillance footage showing Mateen at the hotel at around 11pm on December 14, 2015.

They claim that, in the video, Mateen speaks to a member of staff at the front desk.

He then walks around a corner and heads towards a room where a man who claimed to be his former lover said they would meet.

The FBI apparently obtained a copy of the footage from the Orlando hotel, although the Bureau itself would not confirm this.

Earlier this week Mateen’s alleged former lover, who goes only by the name Miguel, gave an interview to Univision while heavily disguised.

He claimed the massacre at Pulse nightclub, in which 49 people had lost their lives and 53 were injured, was not terrorism, but was a ‘revenge’ attack against men who had ‘used him’.

The two allegedly met between 15 and 20 times.

‘He adored Latinos, gay Latinos, with brown skin – but he felt rejected,’ Miguel said.

‘He felt used by them. There were moments in the Pulse nightclub that made him feel really bad. Guys used him. That really affected him.’
