Donald Trump ‘cancels’ visit to Doonbeg, Ireland – reports say. @realDonaldTrump

It’s been reported that US Presidential hopeful Donald Trump has cancelled his trip to Ireland next week.

Trump was to visit his golf and hotel property in Doonbeg, County Clare.

His press tour director told Irish Central the trip would only now include Scotland and gave no reason for the omission of the Ireland stage.

There had been plans to stage protests and many Irish politicians objected to his visit given the controversial comments made by the businessman in his crusade to get to the White House.

Following recent mass shootings in American, Trump has called for a ban on Muslims entering America.

He has also proposed building a wall along the Mexican border – and making them pay for it – should he become the Commander in Chief.

The star of the American version of the Apprentice has declared himself the Republican Party’s nomination for the presidential election and is on course to secure enough votes to outright win the nomination.

Management at the Trump International golf resort in Doonbeg told RTE they are awaiting communication from his camp about whether he has cancelled his proposed trip.
