Buhari cancels Lagos trip over troubling ear infection

President Buhari has canceled his intended two-day official trip to Lagos State slated to start on Monday due to a troubling “ear infection”.

Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President, will deputize on behalf of the President through the period of the events scheduled for the two-day visit.

Osinbajo was slated during the visit to formally commission the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Rescue Unit in Cappa Oshodi built by the State Government to ensure prompt and swift response to emergency situations in the State.
But speaking to media persons, the Special Adviser to the president on media and publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina said that the Vice President would represent the president. “The Vice President would represent the president,” Mr. Adesina simply responded when asked.
